Franz Karl August von Berckefeldt was b. 29 October 1834 in Göttingen, Germany, and d. 17 July 1894 in Neustadt am Rübenberge, Germany. He married Emma Friederike Dorothee Wilmans. [photos: Franz Karl and Emma] She was b. 29 October 1833 in Hechthausen, Germany, and d. 21 January 1891 in Neustadt am Rübenberge, Germany.

They had two children:

1. Carla Cäcilie Sophie Ludovike Alexandra von Berckefeldt, b. 25 April 1869 in Bothmer, Fallingbostel, Germany, d. 1 September 1947 at Barsinghausen, Germany. She never married and was the Abess of the cloisters at Barsinghausen for over 20 years prior to her death. 2. Adolph Karl Ludwig Theodor von Berckefeldt, b. 4 July 1892 in Bothmer, Fallingbostel, Germany, d. 4 August 1920 in Hörden bei Herzberg/Harz, Germany. He married Margarete Korn, daughter of Richard Korn and Elisabeth Michaelis. [photos: Adolph and Margarete] They had three children:
   • Ulrich Jobst Franz Richard von Berckefeldt, b. 27 February 1910 in Berlin (Grosse Lichterfelde), Germany, d. 30 May 1977 in Westerland, Sylt, Germany. He married (1) Angela Elvira Alice Erika Rauch and they had two children, and (2) Elfriede Trella. [photo: Ulrich]
     • Harald-Rüdiger Gerhard Adolf von Berckefeldt , b. 15 December 1941, d. 8 April 2016, married Michele Marie-Anne Péré.  No children.
     • Angela-Regina Irmgard Gisela von Berckefeldt married Herbert Steinbrenner and they had one child.
   • Gisela Emma Franziska Adele von Berckefeldt, b. 17 August 1911 in Berlin (Grosse Lichterfelde), Germany, d. 21 September 1995 in Bad Eilsen, Germany. She married Friederich Biester and they had two children. [photo: Gisela]
     • Jürgen Biester, b. 21 July 1936, d. 26 February 2018, married (1) Hannelore Bartels and they had three children.  He married (2) Luzie Schimkowski and they had one child.
     • Jobst Biester married Barbara Seifert and they had three children.
   • Gerhard Rudolf Albrecht Paul von Berckefeldt, b. 25 September 1912 in Berlin (Grosse Lichterfelde), Germany, d. 9 October 1941 in Wjasma, Russia, during World War II. He married Elsa Anna Margarethe Wilson and they had two children. [photos: Gerhard and Elsa]
     • Christian Eberhard Herbert Ulrich von Berckefeldt married Irmagard Vogelsang and they had two children.
     • Gerhard Walter Adolf Alfred von Berckefeldt, b. 11 March 1942, d. 19 July 2019, married Froujke van der Veen and they had two children.
